No 8 Nylon Button Twine
This is a very strong button twine and can be used as an alternative to linen twine for fixing buttons. Be careful though because unlike its linen counterpart the knots can work loose. Sold by the 10 metre piece or the 1/2 kilo ball.

Upholstery Sewing Machine Thread
A very economical way of buying your thread. This 36s Polyester cotton is a good strong thread. It comes in Big 500 metre spools and can be used on a domestic or industrial sewing machine. Please send a cutting of fabric if you would like a nearest colour match or choose from this list of ninteen popular colours.

Slipping Thread
A very strong polished Barbour thread used for slip/ladder stitching when sewing top fabric together. Sew using a 3 inch x 19 guage semi circular needle Code N2. Colours are limited but it should not matter because the thread should not show at all if the stitch is done correctly.
Due to the lack of colours available in the polished thread we also offer a heavy waxed thread in red or blue. See drop down box to order,

Upholstery Twine
This is an Irish Linen Barbours twine. It has a very high breaking strain especially for the job and is used for most of your traditional upholstery work. 4 Cord is used for sewing in springs, hair and sewing scrim, buttoning etc. TIP: To save wear whilst sewing with twine run it through bees wax first. Sold by the ball or in 10 metre lengths.

This is a pre-shrunk medium thickness cord. Most suitable for loose covers.

This is a soft, smooth piping cord. Strands of cotton wrapped in a fine stockinette. 5 mm diameter. Sold in a reel of 300 metres or by the metre.

Paper Piping Cord

Double Piping
Double piping can be made with two pieces of single piping but you will find it does not close together as well when stapled into place. That's why we offer this special double piping. You may need a special foot to sew the fabric to this piping cord.
