Most of the legs that we sell are fitted with an 8 mm metal dowel which screws
into a 'T' nut which is also provided. There are two methods that can be used to fix the legs depending on what access you have to the fixing area. First and preferred Method When making a new stool using a board or wooden frame the most secure way of fixing the 'T' nut is from the top of the frame or board. This should be done before the stool is upholstered. The hole should be barely big enough to hold the nut and then hammer it into the hole so that the teeth of the nut sink soundly into the
wood/mdf
Second Method If you are adding new legs to an existing piece of furniture you may have restricted access to the fixing area.
If you cannot get to the top of the fixing area insert your 'T' nut from the bottom but make sure that it fits
very tightly in the hole.
