Description
Alternative to spring border wire. A heavy gauge cane that is used to create a sprung edge to a chair.
The front row of springs remain seperate from the main springs to allow the front of the seat to ‘give’ making a much more comfortable chair. The springs are secured with webbing or with lacing cord, as shown in this picture. The cane is then lashed to the front of edge of the springs with linen twine.
