Our Wiss Carpet Shears are strong tailors shears suited to cutting carpet and heavy fabrics. They are made with Inlaid blades, manufactured from the finest cutlery steel.
Wiss developed their trademark inlaid blades to give maximum cutting quality but also to retain the strength of a forged steel blade. The Wiss “steel forged” process allowed the welding of inlaid blades of high carbon crucible steel to the forged steel frames of tailors’ shears. This essentially gives the durability of a forged blade steel with the cutting edge of high carbon steel.
