Ready Woven Cane 18 inch (450mm) wide ROLL

Ready Woven Cane is a pre-woven cane sheet, used for re-caning chair seats and backs that use the groove and spline method (also called pressed caning) rather than individually threaded holes. This is the standard fitting method for most modern and reproduction cane furniture, as well as many cabinet door panels.

Supplied as an 18-inch (450 mm) wide roll, 15 metres in length, so you can cut exactly what you need for each seat or panel without joins partway through a piece.

To fit it, soak the cane in warm water until pliable, lay it over the routed groove, then press a matching spline into the groove to hold the edges in place, and trim away the excess once set.
